I have always felt that coffee had therapeutic properties when drinking or just enjoying its unique aroma. While researching coffee, I found many properties that are beneficial when used topically. Coffee contains essential fatty acids and minerals important for feeding the skin. Its natural caffeine content is known to firm and tone the skin. It has anti-inflammatory properties and is astringent which benefits circulation and can assist the skin in healing certain conditions.
As a massage therapist and wellness consultant of 10 years, I became frustrated with over the counter products that contained synthetic ingredients. I began making my own products that would be clean and effective without any negative side effects. My clients would ask for treatments and products that could be used on saggy skin or cellulite and after many experiments, I came up with Turtle Scrub. With continued use, Turtle Scrub will assist in circulation and firming up those problem areas.
The name Turtle Scrub Came from my own turtle Bodie. I am continually finding creative ways to scrub and beautify his outer shell.
My Mission is to continually create body care products that are friendly to the environment, nurturing for our bodies, and memorable to our senses uses local and organic ingredients whenever possible.
